How to Get the Latest Upgrade or Update for Lumion 2026

Upgrading to Lumion 2026.0 (Major Release)

The latest major version, Lumion 2026.0, is only available via a full installation. You must download the full 2026.0 installer directly from your Lumion Account.

Getting Subsequent Minor Updates

Depending on the version of Lumion you are currently running, the method for receiving subsequent minor updates (and bridging from 2025 into newer builds) differs:

1. Updating from Lumion 2025.1+ (In-App Updater) If you are already running Lumion 2025.0.2 or newer (including 2025.1.x and forward), your software is on the newest update architecture. You can simply update to the latest minor versions as usual via the in-app updater.

2. Updating from Older Versions (Full Install Required) If you are running Lumion version 2025.0.1 or older, the latest updates are only available via a full installation.

  • Why? Lumion recently made key improvements to the way it handles updates, requiring an upgrade to the underlying update system. As a result, older versions cannot bridge to 2025.1.0 and forward using the old in-app updater.
  • The Fix: To get the latest fixes, you must log into your Lumion Account, download the newest full version installer, and run it. Installing this version will cleanly overwrite your current installation and ensure you are on the new, easier update architecture going forward.
