2. Install steps for Rhino 8:

You can get the plugin from the above link. Rhino 8 has a new plugin manager. You can follow the steps in the video below:

There is a new way to install LiveSync for Rhino 8.  For a step-by-step guide, you can follow the instructions in either Option 1 or 2.

 

2.1:  Option 1: Drag and Drop

2.1.1: Open Rhino 8.

2.1.2: In Windows File Explorer, simply select the file lumion-livesync-for-rhino-3.60.65-rh8_0-win.yak and drag and drop it onto the Rhino 8 window.

It will install and the LiveSync menu and toolbar are available.

2.2: Option 2: Install LiveSync for Rhino 8 via the Rhino 8 Package Manager

2.2.1:  In Rhino 8 use the commands or from the menu select Tools > Package Manager:

2.2.2: Search for "Livesync" in the Online tab.

2.2.3: Click the Install button.

2.2.4: Once the plugin has been successfully installed it will show in the Package Manager > Installed:

3. Uninstall steps before installing

Rhino 8:

Open the Package Manager, select LiveSync from the list of installed apps and click 'Uninstall. Then, restart Rhino.

 

Rhino 7:

Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\Plug-ins and delete the Lumion LiveSync for Rhino folder.

 

Rhino 6:

 
3.1: Close  Rhino 6.
 
3.2: Download and unzip the file below. Then right-click on the unzipped  UninstallLumionLiveSyncForRhino.bat file and select 'Run as administrator'. If Windows Defender displays a warning, click on ' More details' followed by ' Run anyway'.
 
3.3: Double-click on the  Lumion_LiveSync_for_Rhino6_(VERSION).rhi file you downloaded via the link above in  1. to install the plug-in.

 

4. How to resolve installation errors

4.1: 'Package not compatible' error:

5. Rhino in the context of the real-world. Model your design in its future environment.

With the Lumion LiveSync for Rhino plug-in, you can view and change your Rhino model in real-time in Lumion.

You will need Lumion 9.0 (or above) and Rhino 6 (or above) to use the LiveSync functionality.
