Your License Key has been upgraded!

Lumion Pro Subscribers and Lumion Standard Subscribers have both been upgraded to Lumion Studio. Lumion Studio is a new Subscription type that brings:

  • Lumion Pro with floating Seats
  • Lumion View with named-user Seats

NOTE: This upgrade comes at no extra cost to existing subscribers. For new users, the pricing has been revised. Please visit:

2. How do you download Lumion 2025?

Customers with a Lumion Subscription License Key will receive an email with instructions on the 30th of April or 1st of May.

  • Note that it may take up to 24 hours for the email to arrive.

Please check your Spam and Trash folders in case you do not find the email.

To see your License Key log into your Lumion Account and check the most recent version available under 'Licenses':

2.1: Download via your Lumion Account

If you wish to install Lumion 2025 as a standalone application, customers with a current (Active, or Upgraded,) Subscription License Key can download Lumion 2025 from the Lumion Account.

2.2: Update your Lumion 2024 version to Lumion 2025

Lumion 2025 is offered as an update for Lumion 2024 from 20 May 2025 onwards. Lumion will display a list of Updates on startup that can be downloaded and installed.

Lumion 2024:

If you are on Lumion 2024 you will first need to Update to Lumion 2024.4.3.  

Then close Lumion once it has successfully Updated. Once Lumion is reopened, it will find and list the Updates for Lumion 2024 to Lumion 2025.0.  Allow the updates for this through to Lumion 2025.0

2.3: How do you upgrade a Lumion 1-12 License Key to version 2025?

 

3. How do you install Lumion 2025?

Updater:

3.1: For Lumion 2024 users

  • Lumion 2025.0 is a standalone installation.
  • Lumion 2025.0 will be offered as an update to Lumion 2023 and Lumion 2024 later in May.

Warning: Although you can have both Lumion 2024 and 2025 installed on the same PC, it is not advisable to do so.

We recommend first uninstalling Lumion 2024.  Uninstalling Lumion 2024 only uninstalls the software.  It does not remove any of your files used for Projects as saved in the Lumion-Documents folders, such as the Imported Model files, Custom Materials and Groups.

Loading Projects or Imported Models saved in Lumion 2025 and newer in an older version such as Lumion 2024 is not possible and will return an error message. 

The Default Lumion-Documents folder for Lumion 2025 uses a new folder '\Lumion 2025' to ensure files from this version do not get mixed up files from an earlier version.  Do not change the Lumion-Documents folder so that it uses a folder for Lumion 2024 or 2023 (or earlier).

The data is not backward compatible from Lumion 2025 to Lumion 2024 or earlier.  This is especially important for version 2025 as major changes have been done to the data file formats.

Important:  If you are unsure about how to set up your Lumion-Documents folder, or if you think you need to keep using Lumion 2024 along with Lumion 2025, then please consult with us:

 

3.2: For new users and users with Lumion 12.5 and older (who have a Lumion 2025 License Key)

  • Lumion 2025.0 is a standalone installation. It is not a patch for older versions of Lumion.
  • Do not uninstall older existing Lumion installations until you have transferred your Projects and Imported Models (see below).
  • Do not install Lumion 2025.0 in the same folder as an older version of Lumion.
  • Ensure that there is plenty of free file space on the PC:

  • Please note that Projects and Imported Models saved in version 2025.0 should not be opened in older versions of Lumion.

Active Student and Faculty License Key holders can upgrade to Lumion 2025 on release day. It may take up to 24h for the version to become available in the Lumion Account. See the following article for News and a specific date:
