Please see our latest laptop PC recommendations at the bottom of this article.
Here are our general recommendations:
1. Graphics card recommendation for laptop PCs:
- High-end requirements: NVIDIA RTX 2080 (Mobile or MAX-Q version).
- Recommended requirements: NVIDIA RTX 2070 / 2070 SUPER (Mobile or MAX-Q version).
- Minimum requirements: NVIDIA RTX 2060 / 2060 SUPER (Mobile or MAX-Q version).
2. System memory recommendation for laptop PCs:
- High-end requirements: 64 GB.
- Recommended requirements: 32 GB.
- Minimum requirements: 16 GB.
3. Screen resolution recommendation for laptop PCs:
- 1920x1080 pixels to ensure the best possible performance in Lumion.
- Displays with a higher resolution will have a significant negative impact on the performance in Lumion.
- If you are planning on using a 4K resolution screen (3840x2160) you will need a GTX 2080 graphics card (or better) for optimal performance. Alternatively, please consider setting the screen resolution to 1920x1080 while using Lumion - or selecting a lower Editor Resolution on the Settings screen in Lumion.
4. Laptop product recommendations:
The recommendations below have been updated in April 2020.
Please note that the requirements for Lumion 11 changed in October 2020. See
