[IN] Lumion 12.3 and newer - Download Manager and Installer

1. Topic

1.1: Lumion 12.3 and newer have received a revamp of the old installer

1.2: Currently, the Download Manager and Installer are bundled in a single .EXE file

1.3: Troubleshooting download/installation issues is slightly different

2. Information

2.1: Relevant articles:

2.3: Other Documents:

2.3.1 Error Description Sheet:

Note: please do not modify any of the sheet contents

2.3.2 Miro Board:

Note: The Miro Board contains screenshots of the behaviour/workflow that the new installer has

3. General information:

3.1: The installer now uses 7zip instead of InnoSetup

3.2: The file extensions are now .000, .001, .002, etc instead of .BIN

3.3: The installer now creates a file which is named .CACHE - the importance of the file is due to its communication to the server to verify the validity of the .00X files that the installer is downloading. If the .CACHE file is not present, the Installer will redownload it together with .00X files.

3.4: As of the 25th of March, there is an issue with the silent installation of Lumion with Installer 2.X - Danny and Floyd are working on it.

3.5: For more information when you encounter issues, please contact via GChat Peter, Dimitris or Javier.

3.6: To report issues with the installer, use the LUMINS Project in JIRA

3.7 See this IKB set of Notes:

ARTICLE SUPPORT (from transfer to HubSpot):

1. Tables:

Tables were not able to be imported via HubSpot Importer. Any Tables in this article are now based on a DIV Conversion. Same is also the case for the transfer of articles with tables in the EKB.

You can add new (basic) Tables in the HubSpot Editor directly.

If the layout does not work, then you can copy/paste or recreate the old Table from ZD. Where possible the Table has also been copy/pasted from the source page (see link below in 3.). Instructions, see this article: Copying an old Zendesk Table over to HubSpot

2. Finding the reference to the old Zendesk Ticket in HubSpot:

Use this Support article:  Finding the reference to the old Zendesk Ticket in HubSpot

and for ZD ticket Search in HubSpot following step 1 in above article:

3. Source Zendesk article:

A source and backup copy was made of all articles 9 June 2025.

The saved HTML files and images are in subfolders of: HTML files and images subfolders.
