Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

To clarify, the Fully Ray-Traced Water in Lumion is built to closely mimic how water behaves in the real world. It uses the actual Index of Refraction (IOR) for water, which determines how light bends when it passes through the water surface. This bending of light is what causes the natural distortion you see, just like you'd experience when looking at objects underwater in real life.

Here's anxample of light refraction on water and how it affects the view from outside:

Now, if you're noticing a difference between Fully Ray-Traced Water and non-Fully Ray-Traced Water, that's completely normal. They use different rendering methods, so their appearance will vary. Fully Ray-Traced Water offers more physically accurate behavior in real-time, especially with lighting and refraction, while non-Fully Ray-Traced Water may use simplified effects for reflections only, similar to how Ray Traced Glass works.

I hope this helps clear things up for you.
