[SR] Run Lumion 2 times on the same PC
[SR] Run Lumion 2 times on the same PC
Applicable to: All Lumion versions
1. Question
1.1. A user that has 2 Seats wants to know if they can run the same version of Lumion 2 times on the same PC.
2. Standard Reply
2.1. Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately, trying to run the same version of the application twice is not possible due to how Lumion needs to work with the graphics card and the operating system. You cannot have two Seats of the same Lumion version working from the same PC. One of the Seats would need to be on a different PC, or on a different Lumion version.
- Knowledge Base: How does the license system work?
Although it is possible to run Lumion and other software simultaneously using more than one graphics card and more than one monitor, to boost performance, as per section 4 of the article below:
- Knowledge Base: Which graphics card do you need for Lumion 12?
It does not apply for 2 instances of Lumion, even with 2 Seats.
Hope that answers your inquiry.
