1.  Current Version Released:

1.1: Lumion 2025:

The most recent version of Lumion is the new major version Upgrade to 2025.0.  Released 30 April 2025.

There are no minor version Updates.

 

1.2: For Lumion 2024:

The most recent version released Update is 2024.4.3.

1.3: Where can you find information about Releases?

We advise in the Knowledge Base - News articles and at the News Section of the Lumion Community on all releases, including minor releases and hotfixes/patches.

2.  Should you Update?

We highly recommend that you Update each time there is a release of any Minor version Update.

Any release may include new features, improved features, fixes and other enhancements that are crucial to getting the best from Lumion.

It is quick and fast with the Updater system:

It is also very important to Update and make sure that all PC's in your organization are using the same version.  The version required is to the minor version, for example for Lumion 2024 it is 2024.4.3.

3.  When should you Update?

As in section 2 it is important to Update as soon as Lumion indicated (within Lumion) that a new Update is available for download and installation.

If you notice that the version you are using is older than the most recent release and Lumion does not advise about an available Update then:

3.1:  First contact your IT support in case there is a company/Group Policy preventing local PC update or your IT is responsible for doing the Update.

4. Still Using Lumion 2023?

Important:

Lumion 2024 was released March 20 2024.

If you have a current, valid Subscription you should be using Lumion 2024. 

Or. preferably, from 30 April 2025, Upgrading to Lumion 2025.0.

We more than highly recommend that you install Lumion 2025 and discontinue using Lumion 2023.  The hardware requirements are the same.  There were significant improvements and fixes included through from Lumion 2024 to Lumion 2025 that you need to access:

 

5.  Looking for Lumion 12 or an earlier version?

If you have a valid Perpetual or Subscription License Key then contact Technical Support directly so we can best advise:

 

6.  Got a problem with Lumion?

Updates, fixes, patches, hotfixes will only fix known issues.

So if you have a problem with Lumion, contact us so we can investigate why it happens (usually hardware settings) and what you can do to fix things.  Before doing so, please ensure that your Lumion is at the latest version, as in the above sections.
