1. Layers: maximum number of Layers:
- 32 (versions 2023 and newer).
- 20 (earlier versions up to 12.5 ).
- A new Project starts with five (5).

2. Scene: the world that you build in Lumion is called a Scene or Project. The LSF file you create is a Project file.
3. Models: buildings and other objects you import are the Imported Models in a Lumion Scene/Project.
4. There are four (4) main Modes in which you place Objects and create your Scene.
- Build, Photo, Movie and 360 Panorama.
- There is also the Home Mode for Saving and Loading Projects.
5. There are 10 Photo slots (Store Camera) in each Photo Set.
6. There are 10 Photo Sets, so 100 Photos in total are available for a given Project file.
7. In Movie Mode, there are up to 10 Clip Sets, each with up to 30 Clips. per Clip Set. Potentially, 300 Clips.
8. Each Clip can store over 100 Camera Keyframes (not recommended, subject to Scene complexity and hardware performance, up to 10 or 20 for good performance) for over 30 minutes of length. The expectation is that nearly all Projects will have an optimal length of between 1:30 and 3:30.
9. Each 360 Panorama (VR and MyLumion) Project provides for 10 Panorama Viewpoints (Camera slots/Store Camera).
10. There are 10 360 Panorama projects provided per Seat license.

11. Groups have a maximum of 199 Objects.
12. ALT-copying (Move Object button plus ALT key) will copy up to 1999 Objects at a time.
13. Objects are a general reference to any content in Lumion such as Imported Models and Lumion Library Content (cars, people, etc). There is also a special Category(Filter) for Objects call Objects too:
14. World and Scene dimensions:
14.1: The Lumion world has a radius of approximately 32 KM from world center.
14.2: The Lumion Terrain has an inner high detail square region of 2000m x 2000m (1000m radius).
14.3: The Lumion Terrain has an outer lower level of detail which is also the maximum size for OpenStreetMap terrains of 10000m x 10000m (5000m radius).
14.4: Those two Terrain regions are editable areas: you can paint and change the shape/height of the Lumion Landscape.
14.5: You can also place Objects outside of the 10kmx10km terrain but need to ensure the Build Mode camera is close to where you want to place, or you use the Position inputs.
