Lumion 2024.0 is released!

Lumion 2024 emphasizes this by introducing a host of enhancements to the Raytracing engine, including a real-time denoised preview, much faster video rendering times, Fully Raytraced Glass and Nature models, and many other features that make the workflow from concept to presentation smoother than ever before.

1.2: How do you download Lumion 2024?

1.2.1:  Email notification

Customers with a Lumion Subscription License Key will receive an email with instructions on the 19th or 20th of March.

• Note that it may take up to 24 hours for the email to arrive.

Please follow the instructions below if you can't find the email after the 19th of March:

1.2.2: Download via your Lumion Account

Customers with a current (Active, or Upgraded,) Subscription License Key can download Lumion 2024 from your Lumion Account.

1.3: How do you upgrade a Lumion 1-12 License Key to version 2024?

1.4: How do you install Lumion 2024?

1.4.1: For Lumion 2023 users:

• Lumion 2024.0 is offered as an update to Lumion 2023.
• Lumion 2024.0 is a standalone installation.

NOTE: A Lumion 2023 to 2024 updater is not available.  A new full installation is required.  See above, Section 1.2.2 Download via your Lumion Account.

Warning: Although you can have both Lumion 2023 and 2024 installed on the same PC, it is not advisable to do so. We recommend first uninstalling Lumion 2023. 

If you intend on having both versions installed, please make sure:

1. In Lumion 2024, to change the Documents folder location so it is not the same as for Lumion 2023 (default: Documents\Lumion\):

2. Do not attempt to Load Lumion 2024 Projects or Imported Models saved in Lumion 2024 in Lumion 2023.

This is because both versions will use the same Documents folder location to store Imported Model data. The data is not backward compatible from Lumion 2024 to Lumion 2023.  See Section 1.5 (below): How do you transfer old Projects to Lumion 2024? and also the Compatibility section in the Release article:

1.4.2: For new users and users with Lumion 12.5 and older (who have a Lumion 2024 License Key):

• Lumion 2024.0 is a standalone installation. It is not a patch for older versions of Lumion.
• Do not uninstall older existing Lumion installations until you have transferred your Projects and models (see below).
• Do not install Lumion 2024.0 in the same folder as an older version of Lumion.
• Ensure that there is plenty of free file space on the PC:

1.5: How do you transfer old Projects to Lumion 2024?

• Please note that Projects and models saved in version 2024.0 cannot/should not be opened in older versions of Lumion.

1.6: Is Lumion 2024.0 Viewer available?

• As of Lumion March 2023, the Lumion Viewer is no longer in development.

1.8: Is Lumion 2024 Pro Student available? 

Active Student and Faculty License Key holders can upgrade to Lumion 2024 starting with the 10th of April 2024. It may take up to 24h for the version to become available in the Lumion Account.
