Hi ,
Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in Lumion.
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the Trial installation.
If you get the CRC error when running the Installer, it's possible that an installation file became corrupted during the download process due to a server or internet connection problem or an anti-virus/security software preventing Lumion from downloading properly.
Let's check these three possible workarounds:
1. Make sure you have at least 161GB of free space on your C: drive or the drive you're downloading/installing in.
- Knowledge Base: What file space do I need to download, install and use Lumion?
- Download of the installation files: 46.4 GB (can be removed after installation)
- Installation (after extraction): 115 GB
2. Delete the previous Installer and all the installation files (if any).
3. Create a folder on your Desktop (let's call it 'Lumion_Installation'), redownload the Installer, and move it to the 'Lumion_Installation' folder. Make sure this folder is not backed up by backup, file sync, or file share software, e.g. OneDrive, Gdrive, Dropbox, or similar.
4. Add an exclusion in your anti-virus/security software for the Installer: 'Lumion_version_Download' and for the newly created folder: 'Lumion_Installation'. See section 3 of the article below:
- Knowledge Base: How do you resolve antivirus and firewall problems?
5. Add an exclusion in Windows Firewall for the Installer (section 2):
6. Run the Installer again as an Administrator.
If the download/installation still doesn't work, attach screenshots of the exclusions added in your antivirus software for the Installer and the folder, and the one from the Firewall.
Also, it's possible that there are some restrictions on your network settings that are preventing the connection to the Lumion servers.
Could you please try using a different internet connection and see if that works? You can temporarily set up a hotspot connection with your phone just to see if the Installer starts the download successfully.
If that works, then that likely means you need to ensure Lumion has access to the following domains and ports:

Then, provide us with the following files:
7. A Diagnostics Report so we can check your PC for issues (see section 3):
- Knowledge Base: How do you provide a Diagnostics Report?
8. An NFO file so we can look for other software that might be interfering with the installation process:
- Knowledge Base: How do you generate a Microsoft System Information report?
9. The 'hosts' file, mentioned in section 2.3 of the article below:
- Knowledge Base: How do you resolve antivirus and firewall problems?
Please let us know how it goes or if there's anything unclear.
Thanks.
