The Water Material has been fully upgraded for the Ray Tracing pipeline, delivering more accurate and natural reflections, refractions, and global illumination - blending better with the environment. 

This also means certain Water and Glass are now visible behind each other (and in reflections) when this setting is enabled in the Ray Tracing Effect.

Lumion 2025 rolls out an easier-to-manage, secure, and more affordable License Key type: Named-User License.

Users can now log into the product by using the Lumion Account credentials, thus reducing any security risks of communicating the License Key number and making end-user access management easier.

The Lumion Library just got bigger! A brand-new themed content pack focused on children and education has been added, featuring 129 high-quality models.

This collection includes a variety of playful objects, from baby cribs and toys to school items, as well as 8 new chalk drawing Decals.

Additionally, Lumion 2025 also brings 68 new Fine-Detail Nature assets, ranging from small shrubs, like the purple autumn sage, lily flowers, and large trees, including sweet chestnuts.


These additions further enhance the realism and variety of natural elements available for scene creation.

Model Presentation

This template is designed to help you place your designs within a simplified, miniature-style environment. Perfect for early-stage concept presentations, it lets you quickly establish scale, surroundings, and urban context without needing complex materials or detailed models.

Lumion 2025 introduces Radiance Cache, a new global illumination system that improves real-time preview quality when using Ray Tracing, especially in darker, indirectly lit areas.

While the difference might seem subtle at first, Radiance Cache gradually builds up lighting information, which greatly reduces the flickering and blotchy artifacts that were common in older versions, leading to a cleaner and more consistent rendering experience.

 

Behind the scenes, Lumion’s data serialization system has been completely rebuilt. This upgrade means significantly faster save and load times and noticeable performance gains.

It also paves the way for future improvements, like smaller file sizes through compression, better recovery options for corrupted files, and the ability to open partially incompatible or incomplete Projects.

 

Lumion 2025 reimagines the current lineup and adds a whole new page with 9 brand new Styles, including the 3 winners from the latest Challenge.

Some of the new Styles include, Dramatic Day, Interior, Pencil Sketch, Stylized, Vintage, and Collage.
